STUDIO YGON

Tijl Tytgat approaches creativity as a challenge to tradition, always seeking new ways to express craftsmanship. He grew up immersed in woodworking as the fifth generation in his family. Unlike the generations before him, who focused on traditional techniques, Tijl strives to push boundaries and create pieces that contrast with established styles. Though he studied woodworking at school, his father was his greatest teacher, showing him how to honor the material while daring to reinvent it.

Arca
€3,500.00

Inspired by arcs and light. Its secrets locked away behind a mysterious door. The openwork design offers a tantalizing glimpse into the unknown, inviting you to dare to open it and discover what lies within. But first take a walk and admire the piece adapt as you move, influenced by light and a color of pop.

The interior surface of the left compartment is finished with orange tolex, a prevalent material used on guitar speaker enclosures, and a nod to studio ygon's original line of work 'guitar cabinets'.

Arca was designed and built to exhibit with Redkettle Gallery.

Materials: Belgian white oak, Polish pine plywood and Orange tolex

Flora Elevata
€900.00

Flora Elevata redefines how plants inhabit our spaces by lifting botanical life to eye level, turning greenery into living sculptures. Its grid-like framework embraces modern architectural elegance, allowing light and shadow to dance across its surface, echoing sunlight filtering through tree canopies.

The cylindrical design supports and elevates, transforming plants into focal points of interior design. Flora Elevata blurs the line between functional object and art piece, inviting us to admire nature as a central element of living spaces.

Exhibition Note: Perfect for minimalist interiors and art installations, Flora Elevata elevates nature to a place of reverence, celebrating organic beauty in structured form.

"To elevate is to admire — to raise is to revere."
